Survivor, Smiler, Songwriter.

From lacking the strength to sing to performing in front of millions of people on Season 20 of NBC’s The Voice, Andrew Marshall has experienced more than most at the age of twenty-six.

Marshall’s world turned upside down in high school when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of sixteen. While his classmates attended classes each day, Andrew found himself staring out of a hospital window in Boston just wishing to be a normal kid again.

As his teenage life fall apart, he fell back into what he knew he loved, writing and performing music. And when he became too weak to play, he listened.

He’d sit back after a long day of treatment, throw on some headphones and imagine himself ripping some guitar solo off of John Mayer’s Where The Light Is album for thousands. Or he would listen to Born And Raised and feel like for once, he wasn’t alone. Through his experience with cancer, Marshall was compelled to pursue his music more seriously, and to try and synthesize his feelings on life into his own songs to help others just like music had for him.

After his Make-A-Wish experience in 2018, where John Mayer himself encouraged him to keep writing, Andrew pushed himself harder than ever before releasing two EP’s titled Letters From Lowell and Growing Pains amidst the long days at university and the COVID-19 pandemic.

During this time he was recruited by executives of NBC’s The Voice to audition for their 20th season, where he finished as a quarter-finalist. The experience enlightened him, sparking a hunger to nurture his musicality and discover his own original sound which led him to move to Nashville, Tennessee in 2021.

“Don’t Wish Your Life Away” saw its addition to Andrew’s discography in the fall of 2021. The track explores the raw emotion of becoming an adult and watching your childhood fade from view, inspired mostly by his experience at home during the lockdown.

Since then, Marshall has been patiently and steadily developing his artistry. In 2023 he teamed up with brilliant producer, Mark Siegel, putting out a collection of tracks highlighting his first few years as a Nashville resident including his EP “(Kinda) Like A Rom-Com” and singles such as “Dangerous” and “The Best (You Had)”.

2025 saw Andrew begin his own journey of music production in hopes of sharing his songwriting more consistently. He started by releasing two introspective tracks “Home To You” and “Right On Time” both exploring the intricacies of growing up and accepting the phases of life as they come and go.
